Position: North Coast Regional Forest Health Program Manager
Email Address: alex@hcrcd.org
A smiling person stands outdoors in front of green foliage under a clear blue sky. They are wearing a shirt and appear cheerful.

Alex serves the CA North Coast as a Regional Forest Health Program Manager which includes a group of 11 RCDs that coordinate, and streamline program delivery for forest resilience. Alex’s position is located at Humboldt RCD, and he comes from the Oregon Department of Forestry where he worked as a Coordinator for the Southwest District’s USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service program advancing wildfire resilience projects on private nonindustrial forestland.  Prior to that, he worked under the big skies of Eastern Montana as an Organizer for the Northern Plains Resource Council supporting community-led conservation campaigns. Alex was raised in Humboldt and is glad to be back home behind the Redwood Curtain. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University and in his free time enjoys walking out in the woods or catching the game downtown with friends.
